A vented, dirt-floor crawl space pulls in humid air all summer and holds onto it all winter — encapsulation cuts that cycle off completely, often noticeably within a season.

Four commitments that separate a properly trained crawl space encapsulation crew from a generalist showing up with a truck and a hope.
Our crews understand stack effect, dew point, and vapor drive, not just how to lay down a liner.
Crawl space inspections are scheduled quickly, since early mold growth only gets more expensive the longer it sits.
No surprise charges for pier count or vent sealing — those are accounted for during the initial walkthrough.
Seams are heat-taped or mechanically sealed, and liner is run up piers and foundation walls, not just laid flat on dirt.
Each service below is scoped specifically to crawl space encapsulation, not a generic waterproofing menu with the name swapped in.
Seams are taped and mechanically fastened at wall terminations so the barrier performs as one continuous system. This is the baseline fix for most crawl spaces showing chronic humidity above 60 percent.
We seal vents with rigid foam or vent covers as part of a full encapsulation, converting the space to a sealed, conditioned environment.
A properly sized dehumidifier drained to a sump or gravity line keeps relative humidity below the threshold where mold and wood-destroying insects thrive. We size units to cubic footage, not floor area, since ceiling height varies significantly between crawl spaces.
We install a dedicated sump basin and pump sized to the space's water intake, tied into the encapsulation system's drainage channel.
Prolonged moisture exposure softens floor joists and sill plates well before it's visible from inside the home.
Here's the exact path from your call to a finished encapsulation.
Tell dispatch what you're noticing — musty smell, visible mold, sagging floors above — and they'll route a crew with moisture-testing equipment.
Technicians arrive with moisture meters, a borescope camera, and sample liner material to show what's being proposed.
Pricing is itemized: liner and sealing, vent covers, dehumidifier if recommended, sump work if needed.
We'll walk you through the finished space with a moisture meter so you can see the readings yourself.

The questions Bon Air customers ask us before booking crawl space encapsulation service.
Our crawl space encapsulation crews cover Bon Air and the surrounding Bon Air, VA service area, with regional dispatch keeping response times tight regardless of which part of the footprint you're in.
Our encapsulation coverage area grows as we add regional crews, so a past 'outside our area' answer may no longer be accurate.
